KTEL bus to Nomismatokopio, then metro to Victoria
Step by step
- 1 Disembark from the ferry
Onto the Rafina pier. Follow the arrows to the exit. The port is small — easy to navigate.
- 2 Walk to the KTEL ticket office
The KTEL Attikis office is right next to the port. Look for "ΚΤΕΛ Αττικής" / "Athens" signs. Open 05:30 – 22:30.
- 3 €2.80 ticket — to Athens / Nomismatokopio
Ask for "Nomismatokopio" — not Pedion Areos (the final stop). All buses pass through Nomismatokopio so you don't lose anything.
- 4 Board the KTEL bus
Luggage area is under the bus. Validate your ticket on board. Frequency: every 30-60 min (less often midday & late evening).
- 5 Ride ~50 min (via Attiki Odos motorway)
Slower in rush hour (Friday/Saturday afternoons). With light traffic, can be 40 min.
- 6 Get off at Nomismatokopio stop
The stop is right next to the metro station. The driver usually announces it — or ask other passengers.
- 7 Take Metro Line 3 (blue) toward Dimotiko Theatro
From Nomismatokopio. €1.20 ticket (90-min urban). To Monastiraki ~14 min (8 stops: Nomismatokopio → Cholargos → Ethniki Amyna → Katechaki → Panormou → Ambelokipi → Megaro Mousikis → Evangelismos → Syntagma → Monastiraki).
- 8 Transfer at Monastiraki to Line 1
At Monastiraki follow signs for ISAP / Line 1. Same ticket valid.
- 9 Line 1 (green) toward Kifissia — to Victoria
2 stops (Monastiraki → Omonia → Victoria). ~5 min.
- 10 Walk ~3 min to Ioulianou 50
From Victoria go west to Patision (28th October) Ave., turn right onto Ioulianou. Number 50.

- Bring water — KTEL doesn't always have AC

Outside the disembarkation area there's an official rank. During peak ferry arrivals expect 5-15 min wait.
- 2 Show address & ask for an estimate
"Ioulianou 50, Athens 104 34". Taxis from Rafina do NOT have a flat rate — ask for an estimate before getting in. Normal range: €70-90 daytime.
- 3 Attiki Odos tolls
The route uses the Attiki Odos motorway. Tolls ~€2.80 — the driver adds them at the end (or you pay them at the toll plaza).
- 4 Ride ~50 min
In peak times (Friday afternoons, summer weekends) it can be 60-75 min.
- 5 Payment & receipt
Many taxis accept card — ask before getting in. Tip ~10% if happy. Ask for a receipt.
