Arrived before 15:00, or leaving late at night after check-out? You don't need to drag your suitcases around Athens. Leave them for free at the "ired" shop on the ground floor of the same building.
Important about your arrival time
We will send you the entry codes (building & apartment) before your check-in time, so you have all the instructions ready on your phone.
However: check-in stays at 15:00. Please do not arrive at the apartment earlier — we need that time to clean and prepare the space properly for you. If you arrive in Athens earlier, drop your bags at the "ired" shop downstairs and enjoy the area until 15:00 (every day except Sunday).
If you arrive on a Sunday, we cannot offer luggage storage — the shop is closed for the entire day.
Where exactly is it?
The "ired" shop is the red storefront on the ground floor of our building, at Ioulianou 50. You don't need to go anywhere else — once you reach the building, the shop entrance is right at street level, to the right of the main door.
It is our partner business, which is why we can offer storage free of charge.

💡 The shop itself stays open until 18:00, but for luggage pickup we ask you to collect your bags by 17:00, so we have time to serve you without rushing.
How it works — step by step
- Send us a message in advance. Let us know you'll arrive earlier (or want to leave bags after check-out), so we can notify the shop.
- Come to Ioulianou 50. Walk into the "ired" shop — the red storefront on the ground floor, same building as your apartment.
- Mention you're staying at the apartment. Just give them the name on your reservation. The staff is informed and will take in your luggage.
- Take a receipt / tag. Usually you'll be handed a small number or label — keep it for when you come back to pick up your bags.
- Return within opening hours. Collect your luggage before 17:00 on the same day or another working day.
For how long can I leave them?
As a general rule, storage covers the same day: the day of your arrival (until check-in at 15:00) or the day of check-out (until you leave Athens).
- A few hours: the most common case — just drop off and pick up within opening hours.
- A full day: e.g. drop at 10:00, pick up at 16:30 — no problem.
- Overnight (from one afternoon to the next morning): possible by exception, but please ask us to confirm first, as it depends on available space.
- Multi-day storage (e.g. leaving bags while you go to an island for 3-4 days): not offered free of charge, but we can recommend a professional storage service (Bounce, Stasher, Radical Storage) nearby.
Things to keep in mind
- Valuables stay with you: laptops, cameras, passports, cash and jewellery — keep those on you. The storage area is safe, but it is not a locked deposit box.
- Animals or sensitive items: we don't store live animals, flammable goods or perishable food. Ask us if you're unsure.
- Sunday / holidays: on Sundays the shop is closed and there is no alternative for luggage storage. If your arrival or departure falls on a Sunday, plan for it in advance — you'll need to handle your bags on your own that day.
- Many bags (e.g. a group of 8+ people): we can accept them, but it really helps if you let us know ahead of time so we can prepare the space.
Frequently asked
Is it really free?
Yes, no charge. We offer this as part of hosting, since the shop is in the same building as your apartment and we want to make things easier for you.
Do I need to be checked in before leaving my bags?
No. You can drop off your luggage even before check-in time, and head up to the apartment once it's ready (from 15:00).
What if I arrive very early, e.g. at 07:00?
The shop opens at 09:00 (10:00 on Saturday). If you arrive earlier, you can either wait at a nearby café (Patission has several that open at 07:00–08:00) or leave your bags at a professional locker — ask us about options.
Can I leave my bags if I'm coming from somewhere else and my booking hasn't started yet?
Better to send us a message first. Usually we can sort it out without a problem, but we want to make sure we have space and that the staff is expecting you.
Can I leave my luggage on a Sunday?
Unfortunately no. On Sundays the "ired" shop stays closed for the entire day and there is no alternative from us. If your arrival or departure falls on a Sunday, please plan accordingly in advance.
