What you will find
In the courtyards and buildings of Technopolis, stands go up with coffee roasters, espresso machines and everything else a café needs. At most stands you can taste: filter, espresso, cold brew, Greek coffee. On a separate stage the national coffee championships take place, organised by the Greek chapter of the Specialty Coffee Association, among them AeroPress, roasting and Greek coffee in a briki. There are talks and seminars, and DJs play until the evening.

Tickets and hours
In recent years a day ticket cost about €5, a little more at the door. The festival opens in the morning and closes in the evening. Exact hours and prices are announced each year at athenscoffeefestival.gr. If you're going for the tastings, skip your morning coffee: you'll be trying plenty.

☕ From Ioulianou 50 to Technopolis
Line 1 to Monastiraki, Line 3 to Kerameikos. Tap Technopolis for the route in Google Maps.
Kathy's tip: go on Saturday or Sunday morning, before it fills up. The same weekend usually brings the European Heritage Days too, so museums and archaeological sites are free. Kerameikos is right next to Technopolis: coffee in the morning, antiquities at midday.
