Big concerts at OAKA, usually in July.
Ejekt Festival started in 2005 and every summer brings big names in rock, pop and electronic music to Athens. It has taken place every year from 2022 to 2026, after two years of cancellations because of the pandemic. In recent years it has mostly been held at OAKA, which is on the same metro line as Ioulianou 50. The 2027 dates have not been announced; we expect it around 10 July (estimate; the dates have not been announced).

How to get to OAKA

  1. Ioulianou 50 → Victoria station: 3 minutes on foot.
  2. Line 1 (green): towards Kifisia, ten stops to Irini, about 20 minutes.
  3. Irini → Olympic Stadium: come out at OAKA and follow the crowd to the gate printed on your ticket.

On the way back everyone leaves at once, so Irini station gets packed. Check the time of the last train that evening. If the festival is at Plateia Nerou, take the metro to Syntagma and the tram towards the coast.

Kathy’s tip: for a spot near the stage, come when the doors open and bring water, because in July it stays hot until late. After the concert don’t rush for the metro; half an hour later the station is emptier.
