Why Goody's and not a global chain
Goody's is a Greek chain — in fact the first that introduced the term burger to the Greek market. The first store opened in Thessaloniki in 1975 (on Kouskoura and Tsimiski streets) and today the brand operates as part of the Goody's-Everest group, with more than 100 outlets nationwide. Unlike global fast-food chains, Goody's has built its identity on Greek tastes: classic cheeseburgers, but also options with Greek cheeses, local vegetables and distinctive sauces. The rebranding to Burger House over the past decade came together with recipe upgrades and a modern store design.
The Victoria Square branch
This branch is among the most recently refurbished in the chain: clean, modern, with an open layout, good lighting, and seating both for sit-down and quick takeaway. It sits on the corner of the square with its window facing the pedestrian zone — easy to find, easy to walk into. No reservations needed, almost no waiting, and it serves continuously from 12:00 noon to midnight.

Goody's special, bacon & cheese, blue cheese, BBQ. The specials with Greek cheeses (feta, graviera, blue) or bacon are a clear step up from the classics.

From Ioulianou 50
One of the shortest walks in the neighbourhood: leave Ioulianou, head east toward Victoria Square and in ~300 m · 4 minutes you are there. Goody's sits on the south side of the square, visible from a distance. No transport needed — the entire route is pedestrianised or on wide pavements, which also makes it an easy late-night option on your way back to the apartment.

Goody's is the safest pick when: you are travelling with kids who want something familiar; you got back late from a walk and want a quick meal with no waiting; you are a mixed group with different preferences (burgers, chicken, vegetarian options, salads — all available); you want a steady Greek taste you may already know from other trips to Greece. It is not gourmet, it does not try to be — it is exactly what it promises: a solid Greek burger at a fair price.
